Thursday, March 9, 2023
Leading Cloud services provider Giacom and digital infrastructure specialist Digital Wholesale Solutions (DWS) have announced a strategic partnership with ICT specialist inTEC GROUP.
Under the new partnership, Giacom and DWS will supply inTEC GROUP with a broad portfolio of Cloud and comms services from technology leaders including Microsoft, BT, Neos and Virgin.
inTEC GROUP is a fast-growing group of ICT specialists working with SMEs and educational organisations across the UK.
Headquartered in Manchester, inTEC has grown rapidly through a series of acquisitions and now has offices in locations including Dublin, Newcastle, Sussex, Altrincham, Guildford and Cumbria.
The new strategic partnership builds on an existing strong relationship between Giacom and IT support provider Astec Computing.
Astec was acquired by inTEC GROUP in May 2022 and, as a result of that deal, inTEC has expanded its partnership with Giacom and DWS.
Mike Wardell, CEO at Giacom and Chief Commercial Officer at DWS, said: “We’re delighted to announce this strategic partnership with inTEC GROUP.”
“inTEC and ourselves share many of the same values, in particular our commitment to deliver exceptional customer service and our people-centric approach. We each have ambitions to grow within the Channel and this partnership will enable us to do exactly that.
“It is especially pleasing to see an existing relationship between Giacom and Astec evolve and grow into an important, strategic partnership for the wider business. I look forward to continuing to work closely with the team at inTEC to deliver our portfolio of market-leading software and services to partners.”
The strategic partnership will allow Giacom, DWS and inTEC to grow and develop together, strengthening the end-user experience for customers.
It offers a greater breadth, depth and quality of service to end users, ensuring inTEC can provide the best pricing and practices to the businesses it supports.
inTEC is an end-to-end independent consultancy helping businesses and organisations understand and see real value from their technology systems and investments.
The acquisition of Astec Computing was inTEC’s twelfth since 2016 and fourth in 2022 alone. inTEC now has a dedicated team of over 120 people.
Phil Astell, MD at inTEC GROUP, said: “We’ve got ambitious plans for growth at inTEC and we needed a strategic partner who can scale with us and offer unique value to the business.
“Business relationships are about people and it was very much a partnership we were looking for. Having previously had a strong and successful relationship with Giacom at Astec, I’m delighted to be able to take that partnership to the next level with DWS.
“inTEC offers a service to customers that our competitors cannot match and this strategic partnership expands that even further. I’m really excited to take this partnership forwards, delivering real value for our customers and the Channel as a whole.”
Giacom provides cloud services to over 3,600 partners who, in turn, support a network of almost 80,000 small and medium-sized business partners across the UK. Giacom joined forces with Digital Wholesale Solutions (DWS) in 2020.
DWS is the UK’s leading independent digital IT, communications and cloud services provider to the Channel, working with over 5,500 partners.
DWS recently posted its first annual results since its demerger from the Daisy Group in March 2021.
Revenues grew organically by 12.8% on a pro forma basis to £316.7m, with double digit revenue growth delivered across all key product lines – mobile, connectivity and cloud.
The results underline the strength of the UK Channel and the growing preference for small and medium-sized businesses to acquire and manage their technology through trusted local resellers.
